Frequently asked questions about hand tracking

What is hand tracking?

Hand tracking recognises the position of hands and fingers in real time using an ordinary camera, with no sensors to wear. The software identifies 21 points on each hand and turns gestures such as opening your palm, pinching or pointing into commands for digital content: particles, games, effects and photos.

Is any special hardware needed?

No: all you need is a webcam or camera, a PC and a screen, LED wall or projector.

Are the camera images saved?

Recognition happens on the device. We only save the content the guest chooses to receive.

Can the effects be customised?

Yes: colours, logo, products, messages and game mechanics.

Can they be combined with the photo booths?

Yes: the effects can be integrated into our photo booths’ shots, for photos, GIFs or videos with your brand’s effect.
